Cardamom Peach Compote

Makes 4 servings

1 16-ounce package frozen sliced peaches
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 tablespoons water

In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients and stir to mix. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid is reduced to medium-thick syrup, about 20 minutes. Keep warm until ready to serve.
